Our next Italian Fine Wine Dinner will be held at a fabulous new venue, the elegant Incognico Restaurant in the heart of London’s West End

Do you want to feel more confident about choosing wine? These sessions are perfect for learning the basics , how to taste and sniff, what to look out for in supermarkets, bars and restaurants and, most importantly, how to identify the 7 greatest or Noble, grape varieties.
During this course you’ll taste more than 20 carefully selected, delicious wines. Cheese and charcuterie will be provided to bring out different flavours and balance the wines.
You will also go home with tasting notes so you’ll know what to choose next time.
This event is suitable for anyone who is curious about wine and would like to know more.
We don’t use lots of technical jargon, but we do spice up the sessions with quirky stories about the wines and helpful techniques for remembering the facts.

Riesling is a fabulous noble grape variety produced in a range of styles that is often under-appreciated in the UK. Did you know how perfect it can be with a spicy curry? Or what a great complement to a wide range of cheeses it is? Far from the days of 70’s style German wines, New World Rieslings are sure to wake up your taste buds and show you this amazing grape in a different light.
Be prepared to return to Germany in style, however with our native German tutor, Isabel, who will share with you her inside knowledge on trends and traditions in German wine-making. She will guide you, via wine, through famous Riesling producing regions from Alsace to the Clare Valley, and from Tasmania to Argentina. You’ll be able to compare and contrast different Riesling styles from bone dry to rich and opulent!
This tasting event is ideal for anyone who fancies a change from everyday white wines to the Riesling enthusiast who wants to sample a fantastic range and find their favourite.

Does it really matter what you drink with your meal? Can you ever drink red wine with fish or white with cheese? Well the best way to find out is by tasting wines together with food yourself, so you can decide what works best for you. Noble Vines tutor Simona Caprioli is an expert on food and wine pairing having studied the subject as part of her Master of Wine course, and has extensive knowledge of the benefits – and hazards – of mixing subtle flavours together.
This course will look at different styles of wine – light, medium, full bodied and sweet, and pair them up with some sublime food matches that you can recreate at home. Explore the principles of food matching in a fun and relaxed environment and take away our specially designed guide matching everything from salads, fish and pasta to sweets, chocolate and cheese.

From Shakespeare to Keats, George Best to Johnny Depp, throughout history people have fallen in love with wine and its magical allure – but what makes this the most revered and expensive of drinks? And is it really worth it? The Magnificent Seven class and tasting will give you the opportunity to find out for yourself. Take a trip around Europe with these famous red wines; light and delicate or bold and hearty, you’ll find what effect the soil, climate, wine-making and even the law has on these esteemed wines.
The French say that if Bordeaux is your wife, then Burgundy is your mistress, so let’s start with her, in Eastern France, then go down to the magnificent Châteaux of Bordeaux where you can discover the famous Bordeaux blend and compare it to other French successes. Which one would you choose as a spouse? Which one makes a suitable husband? How about a nice Italian for this! A rich Barolo perhaps, or even a Super-Tuscan.
This course is full of fascinating facts about the wines and the cultures they come from. You will taste seven magnificent red wines from the three top wine producing countries in Europe. We’ll also discuss good food matches, so you will have a complete evening at your fingertips by the end of the session.

> Weybridge Wine Festival
Come and join us at the second Weybridge Wine Festival on the 13th April, 2013 and support Sam Beare Hospice. Opening hours 11am-6.30pm
This fabulous event will again showcase some delicious and different wines, supplied by members of the Association of Small, Direct Wine (ASDW)merchants and two local supplers. These top quality merchants offer something different from the usual supermarket selection, and they’ll all be available for you to taste and enjoy along with some delicious food offerings.
The entrance fee is just £6, and once inside you can taste as many wines as you like, learn from free tutored tastings throughout the day and try some nibbles as well. This really is a fantastic opportunity to sample a range of unusual wines from around the world you won’t normally find in your local High Street.
What’s more, it’s all for charity, so you’ll be doing your bit for the Sam Beare Hospice, a local charity offering patients and their loved ones much needed care and support in difficult times. All profits made from the sale of tickets will go to the Hospice to help them continue their indispensable work.
You will, of course, be able to purchase wine at the festival if you wish, and there will be helpers on had to take your wine to your car.
